When an older gunite pool earns a renovation
A gunite pool with a structurally sound shell is almost always worth renovating instead of replacing. The hard, expensive work, the dig, the steel, the engineered shell, is already in the ground. A renovation lets you refresh everything you see and use for a fraction of a new build, provided the bones are good. So the first thing we do is read the bones.
We inspect the shell for structural cracking, check the bond beam and any retaining on sloped lots, look at the plumbing and circulation, and assess the finishes and deck. Then we tell you plainly what is worth keeping and what has to go. A pool with cosmetic wear needs a very different scope than one showing movement at the slope, and we scope to the real condition rather than a one-size package.
